In the backcountry, sleep comes at a premium, and it's imperative to recharge your beleaguered body to give you the maximum chance at success. For the Alaska Down Sleeping Bags, we followed the fundamental CANIS design philosophy, and we prioritized reliability, functionality, and durability. We utilized the highest quality insulation in RDS certified 850 fill power, hydrophobic Nikwax ® treated goose down. A combination of maximum loft / insulation and lightweight moisture protection protects you against the elements in the most extreme conditions. For the exterior of the bag, we use a 20D CORDURA® Double-Rip-Stop fabric, that is not only light, but considerably more tear resistant than any other down sleeping bag on the market.
With expandable side panels, the sleeping bag can be adjusted between comfort fit or the ergonomic mummy shape. With the panels open, you can sleep on your side comfortably. Both hood and footbox are shaped for maximum warmth and comfort. Additionally, we utilized a center zip making it far more comfortable while allowing efficient ventilation. To solve the issue sliding off your sleeping pad, we implemented a stretchable sleeve on the bottom of the bag to house your air mattress. There is also a mesh sleeve inside the hood to hold an insulated jacket or inflatable pillow that will stay in position all night. The lining of the bag is constructed of high visibility orange allowing you to use it as a signal panel in the event of an emergency, and inside the bag you will find two large mesh pockets for nighttime essentials. This bag is a little longer than our original and can accommodate users up to 6'5" (200 cm)
