CANIS Rain Gear: The Ultimate Workhorse

The CANIS Design Team spent years developing a Best in Class collection of jackets and pants that is not only wind and water resistant, but comfortable to wear and extremely tough.
Nunavut Rain Jacket
The Nunavut Rain Jacket is a fully-loaded workhorse. It is made with CORDURA® high-tenacity, Nylon 66 3-Layer fabric. “What does that mean?” It means this jacket is windproof, waterproof, has a lot of stretch where you need it, and durable enough to handle a variety of terrain and conditions. The Nunavut features a bonded and bindable brim on the hood, tightening pull tabs on the front and back. The neckline features a sewn in fleece lining for added comfort and reduced abrasion. The interior of the jackets features a 20,000 mm membrane and it is completely seam sealed and taped. There is no wind or rain getting through this jacket.
We added extra-long “pit zips” along the sides of the jacket which will allow for heat and perspiration to escape and cool you down when you’re active. Each sleeve is outfitted with a bonded Aqua-guard sealed pocket big enough to store your phone. The jacket also features two sealed chest pockets, two side hand warmer pockets, and a self-tightening hem on the bottom of the jacket to ensure a snug and secure fit.
The Nunavut, complete with all 7 pockets and YKK zippers will keep you dry and warm from the duck blind to a 17,000 foot wind blown ridgeline in Nepal. It is truly the premier rain jacket on the market today.
Nunavut Rain Pants
If you are going to have the best jacket on the market, you have to have the matching pants as well. Just like the Nunavut Rain Jacket, the pants are made with CORDURA® Nylon 66, 3-layer fabric with a water-repellent finish, and the 20,000 mm membrane. No water, no wind, and no worries with these pants. The pants are complete with adjustable, and easily-removable, suspenders and a combination button/hook closure. We beefed up the size of the waistband to ensure they will fit over your other layers and pants and added an elastic, velcroed adjustment strap allowing for whatever kind of fit you would like to have.
As with all of our other pants, these Nunavut Rain Pants come with removable knee pads and plenty of extras. Two hand-warming pockets, built-in, anti-slip-snow gaiters, and fully-zippable pant legs are just some of the features that set these apart. The Nunavut Rain System will allow for quiet-comfort when the elements are at their harshest. These pants will keep you alive.
Wapiti Rain Jacket
The Nunavut Rain Gear was designed for people who “live” in their rain gear and to be the ultimate workhorse. For those that need a more minimalistic jacket that is still super durable, rain, and wind-proof, the Wapiti is for you. Like the Nunavut, the Wapiti is built with CORDURA® high-tenacity, Nylon 66 3-layer fabric and has the 20,000 mm membrane between layers. It is going to keep you warm and dry no doubt, but it is very lightweight and has scaled-down “extra” features which allows it to store easily in your pack and take it out when the elements call for it. Elastic cuffs, self-tightening elastic hood, and sealed chest pocket complete this lightweight and packable jacket you will want as your security blanket on every hunt.
This jacket is perfect for the early season when there's a chance of rain but you won’t need to live in it all day. It will keep you warm, dry, and alive just like the Nunavut in a slimmed down package.
